Sign up today to enroll in Beginning Medical Terminology, an Adult Education class from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. beginning Thursday, September 13 and running through November 15.
Students will learn about anatomy, physiology, pathologies, as well as medical tests and treatments that pertain to each of the selected body systems covered in the course. Techniques for understanding language used in the medical professions will be covered, along with practice using medical terms in spoken and written communication. Completion requirements: Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency through tests, projects and homework. Attend at least 80% of classhours. Required Textbook: The Language of Medicine, 11 th Edition. ISBN: 978-0-323-37081-3 Instructor: JENNIFER SNELGROVE Jennifer is a Registered Nurse who is an enthusiastic facilitator of adult learning on topics related to healthcare. She has experience caring for hospitalized patients in medical, surgical, cardiac, and oncology settings. She has taught Medical Terminology to adult learners as well as courses in End of Life Care for home caregivers.
