2021 Assemblymember Unsung Hero Award Recipients
MTA President Diana Orlando, a teacher at Pomeroy, and MUSD Superintendent Cheryl Jordan were recipients of Assemblymember Alex Lee’s Unsung Hero Award. Special First Day DeliveryMUSD Board Member Minh Ngo hand-delivered a winning raffle prize bounty from the Great Mall's 2021-22 Back to School - Back Together event to Rose Elementary School first-year 6th grade teacher Brittany Hilker today. The prize package includes a $500 Simon American Express Giftcard towards a Classroom Makeover and a Swag Bag for the Educator. Ngo donated the his winning raffle to help jumpstart the classroom setup.

Blackout Friday at RanchoIt is the first Blackout Friday at Rancho Milpitas Middle School as all students and staff received a black #RanchoDons t-shirt to wear every Friday throughout the school year.

Woodhams appear on Kelly and Ryan ShowMUSD teacher Stephanie Woodhams, an 8th grade history teacher at Thomas Russell Middle School with her daughters Ava, a freshman at Milpitas HS and Lillian, a sixth grader at Rose Elementary, were interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on The Kelly and Ryan Show last Friday and described the distance learning experience here in the district, among other things.
