SPECIAL EDUCATION
Milpitas Unified School District serves students with disabilities from birth to age 22. We provide a variety of services for children and students with severe or low-incidence disabilities through instructional programs divided into Early Education (birth to age 3), preschool, elementary, secondary and post-senior.

For evaluation of children from birth to three years of age who show delays in development, parents should contact Child and Family Connections at 408-374-9960 to obtain information about services for their infant or toddler.

Students are assessed in all areas of suspected disability. Written parental consent must be obtained prior to an assessment. Students receiving Special Education and any related services must meet the criteria under one of the following categories for Special Education eligibility:
