Milpitas Inclusive Parent Teacher Association (MiPTA)

A group of dedicated MUSD educators and families committed to supporting neurodiverse families

The Milpitas Inclusive Parent Teacher Association (MIPTA) serves as a district-wide community resource dedicated to supporting neurodiverse students and their families within the Milpitas Unified School District (MUSD). While operating similarly to our other school-site PTAs, MIPTA provides a specialized, collective focus on advocacy and inclusion for our community.

Our Commitment to Families

We strive to empower our families through three core pillars of support:

Inclusive Programming

We host accessible community events, including (but not limited to) our annual Sensory Santa in December and Egg Hunt in April, designed to ensure that children of all learning needs can participate fully.

Parent Education Series

Through our virtual learning events and general association meetings, we offer educational resources covering special education and related topics, providing families with ongoing support and information.

Collaborative Engagement

Our monthly "SPED Q&A-ffee" sessions create a welcoming, open forum for families to connect with District leadership, share personal input, and ask questions. It’s also an opportunity for our families to connect with other families with neurodivergent family members.
