- In November 2018, the voters of Milpitas approved the General Obligation (GO) Bond Measure which would generate $284,000,000 to pay for improvements to renovate and repair Milpitas schools. This follows the passage of a $95 million bond in June 2012. Click to read Measure AA full text from ballot.
- With a favorable result that will save Milpitas taxpayers, the District successfully sold the second series of bonds, Series B, from its 2018 Measure AA authorization for $150,000,000, with a district record-low 2.084% All-in True Interest Cost.
MEASURE AA PROJECTS
Milpitas High School Performing Arts Center
Scheduled for completion in February 2026, the new Milpitas HS Performing Arts Center will include a main theatre with 557 max seating capacity, orchestra pit, catwalk, theatrical rigging, AV room, concessions, ticketing office, and "black box" theatre.
MUSD Innovation Campus Phase II
- Buildings C and D for Calaveras Hills High School
A state-of-the-art E-sports lab, recording studio, art studio, and trio of science labs are among the Phase 2 highlights. The second phase consists of two new, flexible-learning, L-shaped classroom buildings (the permanent home of Calaveras Hills HS), surrounding an expansive central courtyard with a full-length basketball court, shade structures and seating, a ‘Building A Culture of WE’ donors paver circle, and plenty of outdoor learning spaces. In addition, an existing building was modernized to provide Career Technical Education (CTE) lab space for robotics and advanced manufacturing courses.

- Buildings E & F for Milpitas High School Extension at MUSD Innovation Campus
Mattos Elementary School Phase II
MUSD secured more than $16.5 million in Proposition 51 state-matching funds for Mattos through the state’s School Facility Program. Mattos expanded to serve more than 700 TK through 6th grade students on the 6.7-acre site.

Randall World Languages School Modernization
The $21 million Randall World Languages School Modernization project includes a new state-of-the-art multi-purpose building, administration building, kindergarten structure, and pick-up/drop-off loop.
