![]() Milpitas High School Boys Varsity Basketball SVCAL Champions marked an incredible first time ever win over Bellarmine College Prep last Friday! A WCAL basketball team has never experienced defeat in the Open Division by a public school until now -- they lost to our MHS powerhouse led by Coach Champ Wrencher. This is an example of the industry dynamo that we are when it comes to exceptional school experiences for students in the Milpitas Unified School District. From accolades on the court, field, net, and from the stage, to superstars in the classroom and online, MUSD educators and students demonstrate what it means to be a world class education community where we are building a Culture of We and paving pathways to career for learners of all ages. At the top of every MUSD board meeting, our awards and recognitions are publicized for all in Milpitas as we are the gateway to the Global Silicon Valley. Whether a learner is on one of our established or newest pathways, they are developing skills and insights that will propel them into the future as leaders and creators of the new career frontier. For example, at our MHS Extension, our students were selected with educator Sejee Kim to participate in the year-long KQED Youth Media Takeover providing them with broadcasting experience. They will produce a live radio segment throughout the SF Bay Area later this spring. At Randall World Languages School our youngest learners are engaging in a Mandarin heritage language program along with dual immersion in Spanish -- they are on their way to becoming trilingual! At any of our high school programs learners can participate in dual enrollment classes at SJECCD, simultaneously earning college and high school credits. The MUSD Middle College High School for example, offers certifications in educator/social work, computer science, and health care; while the MHS Academies provide internships and badges in graphics, engineering, and tourism/hospitality. Coming winter of 2026 our state of the art performing arts center at MHS will be home to our learners exploring pathways in music, theater, speech, and more. Starting in 9th grade, Calaveras Hills High School at the MUSD Innovation Campus offers learners a small school environment where they are gaining essential leadership and career skills through project based learning exhibitions to which all are invited on March 27th from 5-7pm. Sal Khan and his board of directors visited Weller Elementary School to talk with our learners and educators about how they are using AI in Khanmigo. Spangler, Weller and Sinnott were spotlighted on their visit because not only is MUSD a standout in using AI effectively and ethically, we are a model of learning everywhere and anywhere -- all three schools placed in the national top 4 schools for the December Khanathalon. MUSD, enveloped by a phenomenal community, is a lighthouse for innovation and learning, and offers an exceptional educational experience for students from 3 to 70+ years old. Check us out!
